Uefa Champions league Match Day One Reviews reviews

Tuesday’s match day 1 marked the beginning of the 2017/2018 UEFA Champions league campaign with the European big names like Barcelona, PSG, Man Utd, Chelsea, Atletico De Madrid etc. Leading the campaign to determine who will make it to second face of the competition which of course is Round of 16.

Match day one was quite interesting with some impressive results that actually separated the big ones from the small ones. In fact it like watching PES 2017 being played in front of over a million fans. Where you get to hear all the “could haves” and “should haves”.

I watched the match in a public viewing centre close to my house because that’s where all the fun is and it gives you a feel of the atmosphere in a stadium. You also get to hear some crazy but yet entertaining comments from the “die hard” spectators around.

The opening 10 minutes of the game was full of action as Chelsea’s Pedro Rodriguez slit in a curler only five minutes into the game to give Chelsea a one nil lead which was later made two by Zappacosta to give the home team a two nil lead into the break. United went to the break with a one gaol lead scored by fellaini who replace the injured big money signing, Paul Pogba. PSG also enjoyed their own share of the victory with a 3 nil lead into the break against celtic with goals scored by Neymar, Mbappe and Edison Cavani. Barcelona were not left out of the lead with a goal scored by Lionel Messi himself against Juventus.

Before the break, I heard a Man Utd fan say “you guys were given a relegation team like Burnley in the English premiere league and you couldn’t handle them” to a Chelsea fan but the comments he receive form the crowd of Chelsea supporters was quite annoying and challenging to his team but we all laughed about it and the fun continued.
When paul pogba went off due to the injury he sustained, I started to panic but as it said “every disappointment is a blessing in disguise”. This was the case of Manchester United as the substitute for the injured Paul Pogba was the one that lead the way to what will become a 3 nil victory over FC Basel.
With the way Qarabag were playing, there was little or nothing they could do to even get a consolation goal that would put them back in the game.
Atletico and as. Roma decided to share the points within themselves instead of keeping it to either team alone, the game ended in a goalless draw.

Sportin had a wonderful 2:3 victory over Olympiakos after taking a 3 nil lead in the first half. Olympiakos came back from the break to score two goals behind the leading sporting to give them a fighting spirit.
Match day 1 was an entertaining opener and I am hoping for the same today in continuation of match day one.
